Questions I have for YOU

1. What do you use to communicate to the U.S.? Skype? Email? Phone? Magic Jack? Any tips on getting internet in Mexico?

2. What to bring? Ship or only what can fit in luggage? What do you wish you had brought?

3. Anything immigration, getting kids dual citizenship etc.?

4. Do you still pay on school loans or other bills from the U.S.? Keep a bank account here or how?

5. Anything at all that you wish you had known before.

6. Anything on the medical process.

"Faqs about us"

1. My name is Crystal, my Other half is Bonifacio or Boni for short.

2. We are not married but have been together for over 11 years which is longer then most married people I know. We were going to get married a long time ago but life got in the way and I was never the "I dream of a big wedding" girl. If it happens it will be at the court house.

3. Our kids: Alana is our oldest she is 10 in March. Kaila will be 8 at the end of the month and Donni will be 4 at the end of the month. (Kaila and Donni share a birthday, 4 years apart but same day. Great planning on my part right.)

4. Alana has Autism and Turner Syndrome which at this point are my only apprehensions about the move. She is stable with only yearly appointments with her various specialists compared to 3x weekly appointments when she was a baby. Hip brace, heart surgery etc. She does talk to get her needs met (request and protest) but does not conversate and needs prompting. She is a "runner" which means she likes to take off. We have alarms on our doors because of this, and they will be taken with us. She has no apprehensions about playing with and eating bugs etc. which worries me. Scorpions, spiders, you get the drift. She also has no problem drinking bath water and well she has enough bowel issues to deal with. She is not potty trained, this is going to be my main goal when we first arrive as I dont want to buy diapers in mexico. We have to be careful though with her kidney problems she should not be holding her urine and she does if we try to potty train her. I am going to buy thicker homemade "training pants" for her that are reusable, washable etc. to hopefully avoid diapers.

5. The kids and I have never been to Mexico so this will be a completely different thing for us but the lifestyle and culture is more in line with how I want to live then the U.S. is so I am excited to go. Yes it will be a major adjustment. My spanish is horrible. The girls don't understand Spanish, hell Alana barely speaks English much less Spanish. Donni actually understands quite a bit. I might hate it or I might love it, I might start out one way then end up another way who the hell knows but I won't know unless I try. I have high hopes, remember that when I post my second week there that I hate something. :-)

6. Our house is being built by family and friends, we are paying as we go building it. We saved up for the structure and are paying for other stuff as we go. I have no idea how internet or anything works down there but my one stipulation is having internet.

"Building"

This is our house, it's coming along!

Good job guys :-)!
